Not only one of the world’s oldest wineries but also the oldest leather shoe and the oldest human brain is found in a Cave Complex in Armenia. Analysis of size and surface of sand grains, showing wind-shaped sand originating far away, give clues to dating it all. Artefacts include a feet-stomping wine press, fermentation and storage vessels, and cups. Clay pots with skulls of children inside suggests that the winemaking, dating 6 000 years back, was connected to some sort of ritual.
