Tatooine is a fiery planet warmed by two suns in the Star Wars films. George Lucas saw the Tunisian desert as the perfect place to film it. Many of the film props remain in the Sahara, its sands slowly burying it. The Lars Homestead where Luke Skywalker grew up, Mos Espa, the spaceport where Anakin lived, and places as Sebulba’s Café and Watto’s shop can still be seen. The unstoppable desert sands don’t stop Star Wars fans traveling to the middle of nowhere to see the sites.
