  • A round, somewhat larger silver pendant holding sand from 195+ nations set between sapphire glass. (Please observe that size of the different grains, as well as the level of sand in the pendant, can vary slightly from piece to piece as sand is filled by hand, and the grains of sand by nature come in original shape, size, and hue.)
  • Firm chain attachment on each side of the pendant for a classy look where the clasp never glides to the side and shows.
  • The silver chain is adjustable to 3 lengths, so you can decide to carry your piece close to your neck or by the collarbone, depending on what you wear or how you prefer it.

Care

  • Your sand locket will stay its best if you keep it dry. Take it off before contact with water, strong humidity (such as a steam sauna), skin cream, etc.
  • If/when your jewelry needs to be polished, use a polishing cloth. NOTE: Avoid silver dip as it can get into the jewelry, behind the glass. 
  • After use, gently wipe every piece with a soft cloth to remove makeup residue or oils from your skin. 
  • When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a jewelry box, a soft pouch, or an airtight bag; keep it away from sunlight and humid spaces like the bathroom.
  • Arrange chains in loop shapes to avoid tangle and damage and 
  • Never force or pull chains.
  • Use your good judgment of when to wear or not wear jewelry. The general recommendation for all types of jewelry is to avoid wearing jewelry in a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room. And to never ever wear any jewelry in natural hot springs, as found in volcanic areas – it badly discolors.

Tip!
Look under the soft insert of the jewelry box your OUAW jewelry came in to find a small ziplock bag. If you store your silver jewelry in it when not in use, it will not tarnish as quickly. Not as fancy  – but practical!
