Local Sand Trivia

Översättning på gång, så länge den engelska: Neat sand pyramids can be spotted along beaches in Somalia. Mature male horn-eyed ghost crabs carefully make them when excavating spiral burrows below. Females and young ones just scatter the sand. The depth of the tunnel and the height of the sandpile depend on the sand’s moisture. The dryer the sand, the deeper and higher constructions. The ghost crab has its name for a reason; their shade mimics the color of the sand, if it’s moved to a beach with different colored sand it’ll adjust its hue.
